PROJECT DESCRIPTION
SHS was innovative in implementing 1500 mm in diameter RCP pipeline in an extremely populated area called El-Barageel in Central Cairo, laid 10 meters deep. This process took place under the design and supervision of the AMBRIC and the C.C.J.M
The project involved a deep dewatering system of problematic groundwater that consists of 15 meter interval deep walls and 90 m3/hour pumps, along a 1.25 km distance . This was done using a soldier piles system for shoring excavation sides.
The project helped provide freshwater and sanitary services to an area of Cairo that had lacked this type of infrastructure.
